Gift Box Tower (with gifts)

Hi everybody!  I hope everyone had a great weekend.  We had excellent weather here in upstate NY. (Finally) My project this weekend was a gift for a friends birthday.  I decided not only to make part of the gift but to make the gift boxes as well.

This is the Key Chain and Earrings that I made

Here are the boxes
And here is the finished set tied up with an Iridescent Ribbon

I used patterned glitter card stock on all of the lids, and a corresponding small patterned or plain card stock for the bottom of each box.  The lids are all made 1 inch smaller than the bottoms, this was so you could see both the top and bottom of the box to give more color and texture to the project. The card stock was from  DCWV 8 x 8 Citrus paper pack .
The small box  is 2 x 2 x2 and embellished with Plumeria Dew Drops and a Sun/Moon charm held on by a silver brad.
The medium box is 3 x 3 x2 and embellished with MS punch anywhere Butterfly with a Sunflower Dew Drop for the head, edged with spiced marmalade Tim Holtz Distress Ink and glitter added to the wings. Attached with Zip Dry glue.
The large box is 4 x 4 x2 and embellished with 2 Fiskars 2" Daisy punches, held on by a medium flock covered white brad. The flower edges were edged with TH Distress Ink in Spiced Marmalade and a Studio G $1 ink pad (lime/metallic green). I used Zip Dry glue in between the daisies to keep them lined up.
The Tower is held together with 5/8 inch iridescent ribbon.

I am entering this project at The Outlawz in the July Paper a la Mode Challenge for the week of July 30th.
Have a great week everyone.

What a great deal!!

I thought I would share this deal with you all.  You get Cindy Loo and Jubilee for free when you buy any other Cricut or Cricut Imagine Cartridge for $34.95 or more.  I purchased Wild Cards (I was watching some videos on My Pink Stamper) today and she was using that cartridge. I never realized how cute and versatile it was. My total with shipping was $54.95 that is just ridiculous for three full content cartridges.  Even if you already have one of the free cartridges you could use it for a gift or Blog Candy.  So everybody hurry on over to Cricut Machine's website.  Click on the advertisement at the top and it gives you all the directions.

If you click on my title for this post it will bring you to the site!

Martha Stewart Stamp Around the Page Product Review

I received my MS Stamp Around the Page kit yesterday!  I was so excited to try it out, it worked so well I had to do a video.  I just love this product and can't wait for Martha to release more templates. I left a review on HSN and went back to check others today.  Well to my surprise two people had left a one star review.  I couldn't believe it.  If anyone has purchased this item and is having difficulties please leave a comment and I would be happy to help you out.   It really is an awesome product.  Enjoy the video.

Craft Storage Tip and Tricks

I finally got the video edited and uploaded for you all. Woo Hoo!  I am currently working on a few cards to post later this week.  I hope you enjoy the tips.  If you want to watch the video with the annotations, which give the place and price of some of the items, please click on the YouTube icon on the lower right of the video screen.

Since filming the video I have purchased another spice rack and am using for all of my eyelets, it is set up the same way as the brads, by color and then specialty categories.  I also have filled in my garage sale purchase with my stamp pads, it worked great, as you can see below, it even holds the large Big and Juicy ink pads.  I think I may end up painting it after all, but white not pink, because the walls in my new paper crafting salon will be pink.  Talk to you all soon.  Have a great rest of the week.

Yes I am a Miami Dolphins Fan!

Hello everyone,
Let me start by saying so sorry I haven't been on for awhile, taking care of my Mom and having some back issues has really gotten me down :( , but I must continue on so.... About a week ago Robyn at My Pink Stamper listed a Design Team call on her blog.  I really wanted to try to get on her team because she is seriously one talented lady, but better than that she seems like a really nice and genuine person (very rare these days). The challenge was to use Orange, Turquoise, Brown, Green and other optional color or your choice on a cricut project using your favorite cartridge.  At first I thought what the heck can I make with those colors!  Then I was cleaning the living room (Dusting, I hate dusting!) and it just popped into my head!  I was dusting my autographed Dan Marino Miami Dolphin helmet.  Well that takes care of all the colors with the optional color gray for the dolphin.  It's not my best work, I made it after having 2 hours of sleep in 48 hours, so I actually think it turned out not to bad!  So here it is (sorry the picture is crooked)

Recipe;
A-9 card base Orange cardstock
Layer embossed with Sizzix flourish embossing folder, light brown cardstock
Dolphin cut from "Life is a Beach" cricut cart at 3inches, dark gray cardstock
Pond and Grass cut from "Create-a-Critter" cricut cart at 2inches and 1.25inches, aqua, turquoise and light green cardstock
Palm Tree cut from "Life is a Beach" cricut cart at 3.5inches, dark brown and bright green cardstock
Football cut from "Everyday Paper Dolls" cricut at 1inch, dark brown cardstock
4inches of Orange and Turquoise ribbon
6 - 2mm Aqua half pearls
1 Orange flower brad
2 Aqua pearl flower embellsihments
2 chocolate brown brads painted with Cinnamon Stickles
My Pink Stamper "Even More Punny-licious" stamp set used "That's FIN-TASTIC!

I am still working on getting my new editing software to work with my camcorder, ARG!!!!  I will post a video on storage solutions soon, I will have to use the old software for the time being. (Sorry)  Have a great day!

Paper punch storage problems? Here is a cheap fix, and it turned out AWESOME!

I found that I haven't been using my paper punch as much as I would like, because I HATE digging out  the two totes they were stored in.  I would have to lug them out and then pretty much empty the totes out on the floor.  So I just stopped using them.  I looked on YouTube for some videos on punch storage and found a few different ideas.  The one I liked the most used peg board and kitchen towel rods.  I wasn't fond of the kitchen towel rods so I thought about it awhile and came up with Cafe curtain rods.  So here are a few pics of the project my Husband and I made this weekend.

Here it is just finished still on the living room floor.

Here it is empty on the wall.
(currently in my sewing/craft room, my paper crafts will have their own Hot Pink room in the late fall)

Here it is fully loaded!  There is a lot of weight on this rack and it is completely stable!

If any one wants the nitty gritty details, just let me know and I will email them to you.

That is one of my stuffed pink pigs, actually he is a puppet that squeals like a real pig. So cute, but he needs a name any ideas?

Boston RedSox 6 Nugget Slider Box with attached Card Part 3

Hello all!  I hope you are enjoying your 4th of July weekend.  I have been busy making a really cool Paper Punch Storage/Display with my Hubby.  (He is really bored, broke a rib and out of work for a month at least) (No I didn't break his rib.)  But I did have time to edit the third video tutorial in the Nugget Slider box series. Woo Hoo!  So on Monday I will be posting pictures of my blog candy.  I will be giving away after I reach 50 followers!  OK you have been patient so here is the video.
